The purpose of this blog is to discuss the 16th century Spanish Jesuit missionary. Brother Juan accompanied St. Francis Xavier to Japan. He was one of three Jesuits who were the first Christian missionaries ever to visit Japan. Having arrived in 1549, Brother Juan never again left the island nation, dying there twenty years later at the age of 42. His life was dedicated to the early Japanese Christians.

New Project: Adding to the Juan Fernandez entry on Wikipedia
My first experience of adding to Wikipedia is mixed. It is fairly easy to add information and even easy to cite resources. However, as usual, it is important to save one's work along the way. About two hours worth of work was lost. Errrrgh!
